How do I stop RingSmith answering my calls?

In the app, set your calls to Off. The app walks you through removing the divert from your phone and checks that it’s gone.

If you no longer have the app, dial ##002# and press call. That removes every divert on most UK networks. Your voicemail comes back once the divert is off.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You pay through Apple or Google, so you cancel there. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel it.

RingSmith keeps answering until the end of the period you’ve paid for. After that it takes messages for 30 days, so callers aren’t cut off while your phone may still be diverting to it. Turn the divert off when you stop.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open Settings and choose Delete account. Your business, calls, transcripts and recordings are deleted straight away. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a store subscription, so cancel that too.

Can’t get into the app? Email us from the address you sign in with and we’ll delete it for you.

Will my network charge me for diverted calls?

Some do, depending on your plan. The app tells you what we know about your network before you turn divert on. If you’re not sure, ask your network, or give out your RingSmith number on its own instead, which never uses your minutes.

The test call didn’t work. What now?

Check that you have signal and mobile data, then run the test again from the app. Some networks and plans don’t allow diverts, or need them turned on first. The app shows what to try for your network. If it still fails, email us your network and plan and we’ll help.

Are calls recorded?

Not unless you turn recording on in the app. If you do, callers hear “Calls are recorded” before the greeting. RingSmith always keeps a written transcript and summary of each call so you can see what was said.

Where does RingSmith work?

RingSmith is for businesses in the United Kingdom at the moment. More countries are on the way.

Someone is calling about my data. Who do I send them to?

Callers’ details belong to your business, and we look after them for you. Send any questions or requests to [email protected] and we’ll help you answer them. Our privacy policy has the details.
